JOB DESCRIPTION
Position : Medical Coder
Place : Hyderabad
Total exp : 1 yr 5 yrs
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Codes all diagnostic & procedure information from the medical record using ICD-10-CM, PCS.
2. Selects the DRG for each inpatient case.
3. Reviews DRG discrepancies from the fiscal intermediary to make sure the appropriate per case DRG assignment.
4. Verifies & abstracts all medical data from the record to complete a data abstract on hospital encounters.
5. Complete Knowledge in IP DRG coding guidelines.
