Red Hat Training (RHT) is seeking an experienced Learning Content Repurposing Specialist to join us in in our Bengaluru, India office. In this role, you will work closely with our Content Services and Content Development teams as you reformat learning content from other Red Hat technical departments to conform to RHT’s tools and training standards. This content will be repurposed for our global customer-focused training. You'll also provide quality reviews on existing content delivered in instructor-led and e-learning formats, and assist in reviewing content uploaded to our Learning Management System (LMS). Primary job responsibilities Reformat learning content from other departments into our DocBook XML standard so that we can repurpose content for customer-focused training Test content uploaded to our LMS Work with content writers to check the quality of the output of our courses, currently published in PDF and HTML pages Create slideware to support our courses Review transcripts against our video content Test new video course functionality Required skills Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communication, computer science, or a related field 2+ years of experience creating technically focused graphics 2+ years of experience reading and writing XML using an editor like Oxygen; experience with DocBook XML is a plus Familiarity with an LMS; familiarity with SCORM is a plus Proficient English language skills, including spelling, grammar and punctuation Experience working in a highly collaborative global virtual team setting requiring flexibility and the ability to multitask Effective planning and organizational skills Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high attention to detail Experience working with a CMS or LCMS is a plus Experience with eBook and ePub package creation and validation is a plus Coding knowledge of HTML and XHTML is a plus 2+ years of experience editing documents using common content development tools like OpenOffice and Microsoft Office; experience with AsciiDot is a plus Red Hat is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and an affirmative action employer.
