Scientist, Protein Engineering and Diversity, Bangalore

Do you want to work in an environment in which creativity and challenging the status quo is as valued as scientific excellence? If so, you could be our new colleague in protein engineering and diversity, an ambitious team of 20 scientists, research associates based in Bangalore. Working with our customers and other international research units, you’ll have responsibility for developing protein engineered enzyme solutions for industrial applications. Alongside an in-depth understanding of the scientific principles of protein engineering, you also possess outstanding stakeholder management skills and strong project leadership skills. In your daily work, you’ll use all of these talents to pioneer research and transform it into business value for our customers.

In this position you need to:

- Have a PhD in molecular biology/ biotechnology

- Have hands on experience in using molecular biology techniques, relevant computational tools, data analysis and possess knowledge of protein structure function relationships

- Be a proven team player with outstanding communication and networking skills

- Have project leadership experience

- Have knowledge of expression in Bacillus and Aspergillus expression systems – which would be an advantage
