Job Description
To plan and document balanced, nutritious and healthy meals for all indoor patients as per their medical requirements
To motivate and involve patients in the planning of diet for better acceptability
To take detailed rounds of different wards in order to plan diet individually as per patient condition.
To evaluate dietary intake of patients and do required nutrient analysis for doctors reference.
To organize diet counseling of the indoor patients and their attendants for healthy eating on the basis of their medical background.
To coordinate with the doctors for patients diet
To prepare diet charts of walk ins, follow-ups, referral cases and executives in OPD.
To do constant follow up with the nurses for patients diet.
To co-ordinate with the F&B department to ensure that meals served to the patients are according to their profile.
To Supervise major meal services of patients
To plan the composition and schedule of the enteral feed for critical patients in compliance with the physician specifications.
To taste patients meals and suggest modifications if required before service.
To maintain logbook for interdepartmental communication
Any other task assigned by the HOD and the management
