- Assign ICD-9-CM and/or CPT-4 codes according to ED coding guidelines and/or perform the quality audit process for codes assigned.
Responsible for attending meetings and in services to enhance ED coding knowledge, compliance skills, and maintenance of credentials.
Keeps abreast of ED coding guidelines and reimbursement reporting requirements and brings identified concerns to supervisor or leader for resolution.
Establishes own priorities within general guidelines.
- Coordinates resources and activities as needed to achieve deadlines and results.
- Finds ways to improve efficiency, quality and service of ongoing work.
Provide direction/coaching to assigned group of team members.
Act as a lead for a small or part of a project.
Able to accurately and effectively communicate subject-matter specific and/or technical topics to an audience unfamiliar with the nuances of the discipline.
Mentor team members and enable team members to achieve specified quality and productivity targets.
Conducts periodic ED training to update the team with current information.

- Any life science graduates . Minimum 18 months experience in ED coding with CPC/COC certification is required
