The Industrial Research & Development (IRD) Unit was specifically set up in the Institute to provide specialized administrative and managerial support for the operation of Sponsored Research Projects, Consultancy Jobs and other related R&D activities. Over the years, the institute has set up many modern laboratories and is continuously supporting infrastructure through these projects.

Project Title: Metabolic Engineering of Zymomonas Mobilis for Production of Malic Acid (RP03228)

Eligibility: 1st class M.Sc. in Biochemistry, Microbiology or Molecular Biology with NET qualification.
Desirable: Some Experience in Molecular Biology.
Emolument: Rs.25,000/- per month plus HRA @ 30%
