National Agri-Food Biotechnology Institute (NABI), Mohali, is an autonomous R&D Institute under Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. NABI has received BIRAC sponsored joint research project with Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Australia
Applications are invited for the following position under externally funded project “Transfer and Evaluation of Indian Banana with Pro-Vitamin A (PVA) Constructs”
The project is a part of the Multi-Institutional Core Project entitled “Development and Transfer of Technology from Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Australia to India for Bio-fortification and Disease Resistance in Banana”. Project duration is of four years (from November 2012). However, the appointment against the above position shall be up to November 2016 or till the termination of the project, but in no case shall exceed the duration of the project. In case the project is extended beyond November 2016, the fellowship may continue further with the applicable terms and conditions

Essential Qualification: Ph.D. thesis submitted/awarded in any branch of life/plant sciences.

- Excellent academic record with research experience in area relevant to plant metabolic engineering, molecular biology and bioinformatics supported with high quality publications
- Knowledge and experience of Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry based technological analysis of samples
- Knowledge and experience of in-silico analysis such as trascriptomics, proteomics and genomics.
- Relevant research publications in reputed international journals with high impact factors.
