Role Summary/Purpose:
- • To operationalize EHS through planning, implementing, evaluating, reviewing & for continual improvement at Sites & offices.• To ensure effective implementation of EHS requirements (processes, procedures, tools) in align with EHS Metrics, business priorities & requirements.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Implement EHS Management system effectively at sites.
• Plan & organize site visits to implement/support EHS program and requirements.
• Plan & conduct inspections/audits and monitor actions plan for its timely closure, follow up and review.
• Promote actions to achieve continuous improvement.
• Coordinate & follow up with sites for EHS data, segregation, verify, maintain, update & documented.
• Responsible to advice, assistance and support on all EHS issues.
• Ensure that the EHS processes applied on site are compliant with the appropriate codes, standards, legislation, regulatory, GE and the Customer’s requirements.
• Empowered to stop any operation or correct any situation that in their opinion is unsafe or is in breach of legislation, any aspect of applicable legislation, standards rules or the provisions mention in One EHS Plan.
• Support in Investigate, participate in, or cause to have investigated accidents, incidents, or near miss events as is necessary or required. This includes completion of any necessary paperwork (e.g. Accident Investigation or Near Miss forms, Gensuite Measurements submissions, etc.).
• Maintain and track information/reports on Non-Conformities, sanctions, Near Miss incidences, Accidents, Environmental Aspects, EHS legislations, risk assessment and Review.
• Periodically update Gensuite for I&M, Safety Concern & ATS.
• Introduce best practices at sites and provide best solution to reduce injury, illness and accidents.
• Ensure and maintained EHS inventory for sites.
• Plan & impart training to the site team on EHS requirements.
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Engineering degree in occupational safety and health, engineering, or related technical degree
• 5+ years EHS experience in a professional EHS role
• Knowledge of GE’s EHS management systems
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong leadership and influencing skills
• Responsible, dependable and ethical
• Superior leadership and strategic skills, ability to work in a matrix environment, influence and motivate diverse teams to achieve a unified goal
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities
• Experience in a manufacturing and services environment
• High energy, self-starter
• Strong knowledge of global compliance regulations and industry practices
