Job Description:
Project Fellow 1: Occupancy sampling of large carnivores and other relevant species; Capture-recapture based population estimation and monitoring, involving deployment of camera traps; Food habit analyses; Assessment of carrying capacity and population viability analyses; Study human-wildlife interface issues including livestock grazing and resource use by people, towards social acceptance/non-acceptance for tiger recovery efforts.

Project Fellow 2: Assessment of prey base and habitat quality looking into macro-micro scale habitat features; Line transect sampling in multiple spatial and temporal scales and study ungulate-vegetation relationship; Quantification of forage availability and quality; Evaluation of vegetation responses in the relocated village sites over spatial and temporal scales;

Project Title –  “Ecology of tigers with special reference to ranging patterns, dispersal and human-tiger conflicts in Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve, Madhya Pradesh”
Duration – Six months and 1 Year respectively.
Age –

• Project Assistant – Not exceeding 35 years as on the date of interview. Upper age limit in case of applicants belonging to SC/ST/OBC and Physically handicapped categories may be relaxed as per the rules.
• Project Biologist – Not exceeding 45 years as on the date of interview. Upper age limit in case of applicants belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories may be relaxed as per the rules.
